On October 4, the grand opening ceremony of WCIT 2024 took place, organized by Fastex and Fast Bank, as the general partners of the event. The opening concert was accompanied by the latest innovative elements, classical music and world-famous artists and performers.

Maestro Sergey Smbatyan elevated the spiritual excellence of human nature with his Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, accompanied by a phenomenal light show with touches of AI generated visuals collected from all over the world to interpret the power of music.

And it is a big honor to open the grand ceremony of WCIT 2024 with the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra. We tried to express how we perceive the importance of Armenia’s participation in the global transformations through music, blended with AI technologies”, shared his ideas Sergey Smbatyan, the Founder, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra.
The epic continuation and finale of the concert was provided by Jason Derulo, one of the biggest American pop stars and dancers who has sold over 250 million singles worldwide and has achieved fourteen platinum singles in the US. The American star arrived in Yerevan with his professional staff of 30 world-scale performers, the shining Laurent and Larry Nicolas Bourgeois brothers, known as Les Twins, who also performed during Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour in 2023.
The whole square sang and danced with the artist performing his world-known hits, like “Swalla”, “Jalebi Baby” and many more. As a surprise, Jason Derulo premiered his new song “Make Me Happy”, which is already number 1 trending on social media.
The concert came to its perfect ending with impressive fireworks that lit up the whole square, warming everyone’s heart with the special moments of the day. This is how Fastex and Fast Bank announced the start of WCIT and the rest is history now.
