On June 17, 1924, due to the efforts of Martiros Saryan, Armenia participated in the 14th Venice International Biennale, where the works of 6 renowned Armenian artists were presented: Martiros Saryan, Yeghishe Tadevosyan, Vardges Surenyants, Panos Terlemezyan, Sedrak Arakelyan and Taragros Ter-Vardanyan, a total of 20 artworks.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of this remarkable occasion. Fastex and Martiros Saryan House-Museum have embarked on the digital reproduction of the Armenian wall of paintings, presented during the Venice Biennale a century ago.
On June 17, the AKNEYE Phygital Space at Ramo de la Tana 2124a in Venice will screen a documentary film about this event, unveiling all the unprecedented and historic events that happened 100 years ago. The event will host special guests from Armenia and from all over the world.
